Voraussetzungen zur Teilnahme an der Lehrveranstaltung ist das Führen eines Weblogs zu den in behandelten Themen (Locative Media, Überwachung, Psychogeographie, Internet der Dinge), der auch von mehreren Leuten bespielt werden kann.

Recherche und Dokumentation
In den Themenblogs sollten Recherchematerialien reflektiert werden und künstlerische Projekte im Zusammenhang mit dem Thema dokumentiert werden. Gut wäre auch eine Vernetzung mit Weblogs, die sich ebenso mit dem Thema befassen.

Die Weblogs dienen einerseits als Recherchedatenbank und zur Gedächtnisstütze, andererseits aber auch dazu, dass Recherchematerial für die anderen Teilnehmer an der Lehrveranstaltung aufzubereiten.

Im Zentrum der Lehrveranstaltungen steht die Beschätigung mit Social-Media-Anwendungen und anderen Konzepten des elektronischen Austausches. Sie besteht aus drei Teilen: Praxis, Tools & Theorie.

In der Lehrveranstaltung soll überprüft werden, wie sich Strategien und Methoden dieser Anwendungen auf die Dokumentation küstlerischer Prozesse anwenden lassen.
Dabei werden wir unter anderem Weblogs als Werkzeuge des Austausches von Information, für die Organisation von Wissen und für das kollaborative Arbeiten an der Klasse einsetzen.

Dazu werden wir uns auch detailliert verschiedene social-media-tools - Weblog-Software, Wiki-Software, Microblogging-Tools ansehen.

Daneben soll auch eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit den gesellschaftlichen, kulturellen und ökonomischen Implikationen von social software stattfinden. Wir sehen uns auch die Vorläufer elektronischer Aufschreib- und Austauschsysteme an.
